The beginning of all spiritual and transcendental experience begins with awareness, which depends on activating the Pineal Gland

I think it’s safe to assume that you are all here because you are looking for something more in life, maybe have a peek behind the veil. This topic has been explored by the Jewish and non-Jewish sages, in TCM, and most recently by science and is connected to the pineal gland.
The Pineal Gland’s function
The pineal gland is a small organ that looks like a pinecone and is located in the middle of the brain. It is the size of a pea and regulates melatonin which helps with seasonal cycles.
Pretty much every ancient culture knew about this and nowadays the pineal gland is considered to be the intuitive center of the brain, the seat of the higher soul and the portal to the spiritual worlds. Our good Egyptian friends of old called it the eye of “Horus”.
We find a reference to this when Yaakov wins the battle and names the place when he is done, none other than Pineal, because here he saw G-D face to face. When examining the Hebrew word Pineal, we easily see it’s made up of two different words, Pnei and E-L, which translates to G-Ds Face.
However, this gland is hidden and is difficult to access it. Most of us never learned this in life, but good thing we are here. The way to access it is through a certain energy center that is located in the middle of the forehead, between the brows, which is commonly called the Third Eye.
In TCM the Third Eye is called the Yin Tang point and is right here.
In Kabbalah, this is one of the centers of the Sephira of Da’at. There is the Da’at Elyon which is the supreme or upper Da’at, and the Da’at Tachton, which is the lower Da’at and I believe the Third Eye is the lower one.
A little exercise on awareness
Let’s do an exercise, touch the middle of your forehead right here. You can massage a little if you want. Now look around while focusing on this very point. You may notice there’s a little extra pressure there, but more importantly, as you look around your room, you notice that you are more aware than before. You are in control of yourself.
I know you are all here (most of you) to learn about how to have a transcendental spiritual experience, but this is by the way an incredibly important point to make. All the healing we do, all the connection with God we want, all the dreams and visions that you are seeking, the entry point for all that is mastering your awareness. And awareness is the Sephira of Da’at, which is located in the Third Eye.
We all know the Third Eye is actually on your forehead, so how is it related to the pineal gland? Well, it turns out there’s an energetic connection, sort of like a tube that connects this middle point here with the pineal gland. And the pineal gland, as we mentioned, is the portal to the higher dimensions.
The pineal gland releases the sleep hormone melatonin, and has also been found to contain DMT (dimethyltryptamine), a chemical that causes hallucinations and visions. Some say this chemical generates our dreams, or at least plays some role in dreaming.
We are taught in the Talmud Brachot 57b that a dream is 1/60th of Prophecy. This connects the dream state with the Prophetic state. Science today has proven that DMT is flowing at a higher rate in the brain and body during the REM sleep states. Yes, you can actually get high by meditating. Like, really, naturally high. This is part of the ecstasy our prophets and sages could feel when they had their visions.
We also see from the Talmud that there is a connection between the dream state and the concept of seeing from one end of the world to another, the same language used to describe the level of vision Adam had. The Rambam makes clear that the dream state is directly related to the prophetic state.
Spiritual gifts
Therefore, if we needed point to any part of the brain as being a “receiver” for prophecy, it would certainly be the pineal gland. Most intriguingly, scientists have found that this gland contains photoreceptor cells similar to those in our eyes.
So if you stimulate it long enough, then you begin seeing things, AKA, the spiritual reality behind the physical. Dreams are of course only one of the many types of spiritual experiences.
It’s perfectly possible to see auras, energy, spirits, to have intuition, and a plethora of other cool skills.
While we don’t have prophecy, many of the doors leading to it, such as Ruach HaKodesh (divine spirit) can be accessed. So, if someone here can foretell the lottery tickets, please be in touch with me after the class.
You all following me? Great!
A little warning before we go forward: I am not giving any sort of medical, psychological or spiritual advice here and waive all responsibility. And, as an aside, I certainly do NOT recommend meditating on the third eye before going to sleep because you end up stimulating the pineal gland and your body might get energized so you don’t fall asleep.
Anyways, there are many meditations and energy exercises I teach in my private sessions so you can develop the energy body. Please realize that the Third Eye is only one of the energy centers in the energy body, and that we need to train the energy body as a whole, because a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. If you go straight to meditating a lot on it, you might feel fatigued, dizzy or have headaches. But merely walking around with awareness is totally fine.
Some people say that the third eye is associated with the head tefillin, which the Torah commands be placed “between your eyes”. Despite this, we do not put the tefillin between our eyes, but atop the head, above the hairline. This alludes to the fact that the head tefillin is about opening up our third eye, buried deeper in our brains.
the Zohar says the box of the head tefillin represents clear vision while the knot at the back represents murky vision: the box (aligning with the pineal) is for tuning in to higher vision and prophecy, for spiritual vision; the knot at the back (aligning with the occipital lobe) is for regular physical vision. And this helps to explain why the box is associated with the future, while the knot is associated with the past. To get glimpses of what’s to come, we have to tap into our inner prophetic eye.
So, to summarize, the third eye is the source of:
- Clarity
- Concentration
- Imagination
- Intuition
- Spiritual perception
- Universal connection
Now, how do you open the third eye and stimulate your pineal gland?
This is easier said than done, but I’m giving a little general introduction. Opening the third eye and stimulating the pineal gland is a gradual process that takes time, if you want to do it in a safe way.
Let’s start with physical measures you can take and then move on to the spiritual practices.
Many things help speed this process including vitamins and minerals (like Ashwagandha pills), eating healthy food (especially turmeric), physical exercises, some people say sun-gazing (but not recommended), and, of course, psychedelics.
Unfortunately, nowadays, many foods contain certain additives and even poisons that calcify the pineal gland and make it weak, such as fluoride which is dumped in water and is in toothpaste. I use a toothpaste that is completely natural that has no fluoride and never had tooth problems.
Some exercises like Tai Chi are great for improving your awareness as well as keeping your awareness in the Third Eye as much as possible.
Now, psychedelics. In South American shamanic rituals, a special tea (called Ayahuasca) with a high concentration of DMT is brewed and drunk in a religious ceremony to open one’s eyes to spiritual visions (and apparently works extremely well). You can actually achieve something similar to that with breathwork and meditation.
Psychedelics is something that can become very problematic in this regard for a lot of reasons. Specifically, someone who takes psychedelics ends up opening up his perception and he might not be ready for it. Some people as you know have a hard time adapting to normal life and may even get addicted to psychedelics. Some people have bad trips.
When opening one’s perception with them, if he’s not holy he might end up attracting a lot of unwanted negative spirits which can attach themselves to him or he might just be confounded and go crazy by the visions.
The spirits are of course are not some red cartoon devil, they can actually come looking very holy, with white clothes, a fluffy beard and some really inspiring words of wisdom to cause someone to trip and go to the other side. I explained this in the previous webinars and some articles in the website, so we won’t go through them so much now.
This is why, in my private sessions, we follow a steady climb to build up your awareness and empower your energy body for these types of experiences. It’s slow, but it’s safe.
If someone has to take it for a specific condition then fine, you have medical supervision, but never do it alone. And I didn’t even begin about the halachic prohibition that most poskim have ruled out regarding psychedelics. You should know that you can achieve a lot through meditation and energy practices.
Regarding spiritual practices, we can take Rabbi Chaim Vital’s 2 books which are Shaar Ruach HaKodesh (Gate of the Holy Spirit) and Shaarei Kedusha (Gates of Holiness), both of which speak about expanding one’s consciousness.
Just a little word before: Rabbi Chaim Vital has devoted much of his writings to teaching us about HaSaga (literally perception or grasp), of how to expand our consciousness
In Shaarei Kedusha, he gives many interesting advices, including studying as much Torah as you can, minimizing the physical pleasures, guarding your eyes and so on. This is because our consciousness is constantly oscilating between our internal world, and the external world. So removing the weight of physicality always helps to go within.
But one of the most important things he writes in Shaar Ruach HaKodesh is to be constantly happy. And he even quotes his master, the holy Arizal as saying that he got to his astronomical level mostly due to the extreme happiness he had when doing Mitzvot and studying Torah.
May we merit these wondrous levels.
